The Aftermath Chp 19  I was scared.  I'm not ashamed to tell you that I was scared, because I was.

Fire Nation soldier, Firebender.

He held me by the shoulders while his buddy held a flaming dagger to my neck as I called out.  I hadn't really expected them to hear me, but I called out anyway.  I trying to shake and wiggle my way out of the soldier's grip, I tried to kick at the one holding the dagger, but each time, the fire just got closer to my neck.

"Stop squirming!"  The one holding me slammed me against a tree trunk.  I heard a deafening crack I'd only heard once before…. And Scooter hadn't made it….

I heard myself scream.
